Wedding at Vouliagmeni Lake for Elli and Giorgos

Last days of August, once again on the road as a wedding photographer. Glorious sunshine, traditions from Cyprus, seaside photshoot and Vouliagmeni lake for the finale. I always enjoying be a part of relaxing weddings. You have the time to observe, to understand, to see and capture more details…Elli’s and George’s wedding in Vouliagmeni Lake was like this.  Relaxed, comfort and real from the start to the end… Until the party starts. Elli comes from Athens and Giorgos from Cyprus. They met and leave in Cyprus and came to Athens for their wedding and their little son’s baptism.

The wedding at Agia Triada Glyfada and the wedding Party at Vouliagmeni Lake

The date started with the traditional Cyprus preparation of Giorgos at Titania Hotel. According to the tradition, all the groom’s family members gather in a big room pass round him a red band. Then they “smoke” him with a silver censer under the traditional sound of violin and laouto.

After groom’s preparation, I moved to Glyfada and Agia Triada church for the wedding ceremony. First time in this church I enjoyed a lot the spiritual ceremony and priest’s words to the couple at the end. Right after the ceremony we moved from Glyfada to Vouliagmeni in a beautiful spot close to Agnadi sunset bar with the sardonic gulf view an a superb sunset on the background.  The sun has almost fallen and the venue comes next. I was really waiting the experience of a wedding party to Vouliagmeni Lake. The surrounding of the lake by the night is many things together… Imposing, protective, impressive and with great atmosphere… I loved it…  After many hours of coverage siting by the lake, watching the party and feeling grateful for this wedding photography experience of a relaxed ceremony, sweet couple, stunning venue location and a great party for the end… All the best Elli and Giorgos… My favorite photos follows
