A Week-Long Wedding in Villa Terra Casa Aegina
Quite often, in talking with friends, I get asked about my experiences with weddings as a wedding photographer. One of the more frequent questions is, “What is the best wedding you have ever photographed?” So, after capturing this Wedding in Villa Terra Casa and before creating this post, I ask myself this:
What is the most valuable aspect of a wedding ?
In my opinion, a wedding is a whole experience; something vibrant that you plan and then share with your loved ones. Of course, there are the material aspects, like the food, alcohol, the clothing and jewellery, the music, the wedding venue, the car, and whatever else one can imagine. What adds value to all of the above is that we share them with our friends and family. Imagine a bride and groom alone in a beautiful location, with a delicious meal, luxurious clothing and accessories, music and dancing – but without any guests. Wouldn’t that be a little creepy?
So one of the greatest luxuries at a wedding are our guests and the time we make to share with them. I have been at weddings that were impeccably organized and glamorous, but where the couple had planned such a full schedule that in the end they had no time to spend relaxing with their loved ones.
The Wedding in the Villa “Terra Casa”
The wedding in Aegina of Steven and Ashlee was planned as the most ideal wedding a couple could hope for. They decided to rent a luxury villa with an impressive view and enough bedrooms to accommodate most of their friends and family. They invited friends and family from the US to attend their wedding so they could share time, memories and feelings with them. In this case, the wedding was the climax of a unique opportunity in life – to be close to and share your joy and experiences with those most dear. If that’s not luxury, what is?
Steven and Ashlee’s luxury wedding took place at Terra Casa Villa in Vathi, Aegina, which offers a fabulous view of the Saronic Gulf and Aegina sunsets. The wedding was catered by Rodi Catering. Take a look at some of the highlights from their wedding.
